Pilgrims on a Journey

A walking pilgrimage along the Camino de Santigo

Sarria to Santiago, Spain

Tuesday, June 16th-Thursday, June 25th, 2026

The pilgrimage begins on Tuesday, June 16th, at 6:30 pm, in Sarria and ends in Santiago de Compostela on Thursday, June 25th, after breakfast. After registration, you will receive additional information to help you make your travel plans to Sarria, Spain.

The Camino is an ancient pilgrim route that begins in many places around the world. There is a saying that “all roads lead to Santiago”. Our pilgrimage will take place in Spain and we will walk the last 114 kilometers of the Camino Frances. We will begin with a welcome reception and dinner in Sarria and after a night of rest, we will begin walking the next morning.

Day 1 (Tuesday)         June 16th     Welcome reception & dinner (gather at 6:30 pm in Sarria)

Day 2 (Wednesday)   June 17th     Sarria to Morgade (12 km/7.5 miles)

Day 3 (Thursday)      June 18th     Morgade to Gonzar (18.3 km/11.4 miles)

Day 4 (Friday)           June 19th     Gonzar to Lestedo (12 km/7.5 miles)

Day 5 (Saturday)       June 20th    Lestedo to Melide (19.7 km/12.24 miles)

Day 6 (Sunday)         June 21st      Melide to Arzua (14.2 km/8.8 miles)

Day 7 (Monday)        June 22nd    Arzua to A Rua (17.7 km/10.9 miles)

Day  8 (Tuesday)      June 23rd    A Rua to Lavocalla (10.8 km/6.7 miles)

Day 9 (Wednesday)  June 24th    Lavocalla to Santiago de Compostela (10.1 km/6.3 miles)

Day 10 (Thursday)    June 25th    Breakfast, Benediction & Farewell 

 

Price    $1,450 registration + $350 non-refundable deposit= $1,800 total for the pilgrimage

 

The price covers reception, 9 overnight stays with nine breakfasts and eight dinners, daily baggage transfers on walking days, pilgrim credential and shell. This also includes up to four online gatherings prior to the Camino to help with preparation. (depending on when pilgrims register)

 

Not included: individual travel to Sarria and from Santiago de Compostela, daily lunches, dinner on the last night in Santiago or any taxis or bus fares.

Jeana Martin is a spiritual director, musician and retreat leader who loves singing and playing the guitar. She enjoys journeying with others and hearing their stories. Jeana has walked the French Way of the Camino as well as making pilgrimages to Chartres and Vézelay, France; Montserrat, Spain, and Assisi, Italy. She is currently writing a book about her pilgrimage experiences in France.

After confirmation of registration and payment of deposit, you will receive a letter with information about travel to Sarria and from Santiago de Compostela and more details about the trip. This will include a suggested packing list.

 

In the case of cancellation of the pilgrimage, you will receive a refund of the full amount, including the non-refundable deposit. 

In the case of cancellation of the participant before March 1, 2026, the non-refundable deposit will be withheld.

 

The balance is due by March 15, 2026. As of April 1, 2026, if the participant cancels, the non-refundable deposit and an additional 25% of the registration will be withheld, unless you find someone else who can take your place. 

As of April 5, 2026, if the participant cancels, the non-refundable deposit and an additional 50% of the registration will be withheld. All cancellations after April 15, 2026 will be fully non refundable.
